The 8am service of Holy Communion is a quiet, traditional service, with around 20 people present. There are no hymns.
The main service at 10am each Sunday is lively, busy, and designed for all ages......
Children and adults stay in for the whole of the Family Service, music and the talk are accessible to all, and coffee, tea and squash are served at the end.
The Sunday Plus service on the third Sunday of the month has a bias towards modern worship songs, and (usually) a visiting preacher. Drama is often used, and the service has a contemporary feel. Worshippers of all ages are present!
On the second Sunday of the month, the BIG BIN CLUB begins at 10am in the St Peter's Centre, for 5- to 14-year olds (not August - see below)
Children and adults are together in church at the beginning of the other 10am services
. After 10 minutes or so, children aged 3 to 14 are welcome to go out to their activity groups, and return for a drink at the end. The music at 10am is a mixture of traditional hymns and modern songs, with a varying number of instruments used.
The occasional service of Matins at 10am is from the Book of Common Prayer. The young people go out at the very beginning of this formal service.
During August every 10am service will be suitable for children and adults : "All Age August." For this reason there will not be separate activities in St Peter's Centre
The service at 6am attracts
around 20 worshippers. There is less bustle than at 10am, and the music is
biased
towards the more traditional.
